Social Skills Groups

Social Skills Training Program is another service Skill Sprout offers at our Washington, Peoria and Springfield locations.  Within this program, treatment is provided in a group setting by a trained group facilitator.  During a Social Skills group, we pair a child with a disability (target learner) with one to three typically developing peer models and assist in developing socialization skills.  Groups are approximately 1.5 hours in duration and are organized into different activities, ranging from sensory activities, to conversational games, to instructional learning time.
